Energy Storage Incentives

Advanced Energy Storage systems qualify for many of the same incentives that are available to renewable energy generation programs. The federal Investment Tax Credit provides a 30% tax credit that may be claimed when filing federal income taxes. Several States offer additional incentives, often in the form of a direct rebate to the purchaser. Specific circumstances will vary, and you should consult with a tax professional to fully understand your eligibility.

Residential Energy Storage is a relatively new capability that many states and utilities are just learning about. The Adara Energy Storage System works with regulators to educate and inform their decision making process. The National Renewable Energy Lab has funded the development of a website that is administered through the North Carolina State University program office. That site may be found here: dsireusa.org. California residents and other states Public Utilities Commissions interested in the California Self Generation Incentive Program may find more information on that program here: www.cpuc.ca.gov/PUC/energy/DistGen/sgip
